Hello Everyone!
In a few hours, I will be heading to Anchorage, Alaska (via AA). Not quite what I had hoped, but when you bike breaks down at mile 900 of 13,100 miles, then maybe it’s not meant for you this year. By the way, that BMW1200 GS Adventure is looking really tempting at this point.
Anyhow I really do apprecaite the support of everyone who has followed the idea of the trip so far. I will try to update the site every day or so, so folks can see what I am seeing and experiaing. I figured I would start off the trip with a great song from Steven Curtis Chapman from back in the day. (The live version)
Here is the plan so far.
Anchorage, AK
Valdez, AK
Fairbanks, AK (Maybe Chicken, AK)
Coldfoot, AK
Prudhoe Bay, AK
Coldfoot, AK
Chena Hot Springs, AK
Cantwell, AK
Homer, Ak
Seward, AK (some fishing Rockfish or Halibut?)
Anchorage, AK to Fly back home
I will have the GPS Spot Tracker on, and will post some photos as well. Thanks for Brandi for supporting me this second time around. Part 2… is riding from Home (Texas to Key West and back, maybe via West Virginia).
