Today was another 500 day. Went from Ozark, Mo to Bowling Green, Ky. We had a few storms to ride through which is always fun.
I like weather, what can I say. Tomorrow will be a twisty ride through Kentucky. About 500 miles as well to White Sulphur Springs, Wv. Our plan is to pay tribute to Colnel Sanders himself at the KFC Museum, then go through Hazard Kentucky, then across the southern part of West Virgina.
Dad and I are holding up great. It’s enjoyable just the two of us riding. We have been getting early start which means early arrivals. He’s enjoying his afternoon naps. Now only if I could learn to enjoy that.
We are done with day one. About 500 miles from Burleson, to Ozark, Mo. Ozark is home of Lamberts, which is home of the Flying Roll. Basically if you want a roll, they will throw it at ya. Good times.
I pushed Dad pretty hard today to see how well he would ride. He was getting tired quicker then I expected, so it’s good to find this out now so I can judge the rest of the trip correctly. Dad wanted to ride freeway here so we made good time. He is takingĀ nap while I am checking email etc.
Tomorrow will be riding across southern missouri and ending in Bowling Green Kentucky. Tonight we are staying at a Days Inn. Pretty nice, lunch was Taco Bell. I only had 2 Soft Taco’s. I ordered 3, but dad ate one by accident.
I didn’t want to say anything. I am looking forward to the father son time, but I need to make sure he can handle it without to much stress. No pictures for today, just some good memories of the road.
Tomorrow I leave for a pretty good trip. 4000 miles in 9 days. It will be with my father on our motorcycles. We have been planning this for some time, so hopefully things will work out and we’ll have an issue free great time.
I am hoping to update the blog with pictures and events of the day, but who knows.
I usually forget to… so we’ll see.
