Friday afternoon I left to get away for the weekend. I needed to finish my final research paper for my degree. For those who didn’t know, I have been working on my BS Information Technology degree from American Sentinel University. This is an online school so I am not sure how I graduate. However I think there is a ceremony etc. I was telling Brandi if there is one, I think I am going to go. I didn’t want to, however with the issue as of recent it’s something that I think I need to do.

I chose to say at the new Hilton Garden Innon Lake Granbury, and we chose to get me a fancy room. Honestly that was a mistake. The layout of the fancy room was horrible. It was a room with a bathroom in the middle, so you had a sitting area and a tiny bedroom area. The thermostat was for the bedroom area, so you couldn’t control the temperature at all. I stuck my head in the normal rooms, they would have been great however the fancy room was horrible. I’ve stayed in motel 6′s that were at least functional.

The hotel has a new “Pantry” concept. At no point does it say anything costs money, I finally asked otherwise I would be in jail for shoplifting . No free breakfast? At the Best Western, I can get at least a free box of cereal. For being a full service hotel, they really need to learn about value. I paid $159.00 a night, and it was definitely 100% NOT worth it. I am hoping for a comment card or survey, so I an provide the feedback. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly, but nothing worth adventuring to again at that price. Next time we will try the cheaper rooms.

Why was I there? Well I had to finish my final research paper for my BS IT Degree. I submitted the paper today so we’ll see what the professor comes back with. Technically this was just supposed to be the rough draft, but I finished it up all 24 pages worth. It was on Technology and Society. Hopefully she finds it helpful and passes me right along.

Then… time for my Master. I am thinking of a Master of Biblical History or a Master of Theology.
